Hendrik’s approach to cooking is always progressing and since opening, The White Horse has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes and a listing in the Michelin Guide. A self-taught chef who continues to spend endless hours developing his signature recipes, his ethos is to use only the best ingredients combined with new and classic cooking techniques to emphasise flavour more than anything else. The increasing reputation of the food gives Hendrik the means to clearly display his vision of substance over style.
The food at The White Horse is all about taking those pub classics and elevating them to new heights. The menu includes dishes that are recognisable and understandable.
Working closely with their suppliers allows Hendrik and the Kitchen Team to regularly tweak the menus, swapping one ingredient for another. This helps to ensure the menu features the best of the season and area.
The Menus include an A la Carte, Set Lunch, Bar and new for 2018 the ‘Taste of The White Horse’. The latter menu is available Wednesday to Saturday Dinner and features highlights of 6 dishes from the A la Carte giving guests the chance to sample some of the signature dishes. (A Vegetarian alternative is also available)
